Welcome to The Sustrans Giro Schools Challenge
Stage 10: Gemona del Friuli to Trieste
The final stage! For the last stage the riders will traditionally ride in as a group. Once they get to Trieste, however, there will be 8 laps of 7.3 kilometers and a ferocious bunch sprint to the line.
This is a single day stage and there are special prizes up for grabs. It still counts towards the overall results, just like the other stages.

Newry Canal Towpath
This cycle and walking route from the Bann Bridge in Portadown to the Town Hall in Newry is a 20 mile trip on part of route 9 of the National Cycle Network. The route follows the towpath on the western bank of the, now non-navigable, Newry Canal.More info

The Giro d’Italia is coming to Northern Ireland, and to celebrate, Sustrans Giro Schools Challenge is inviting young people to show the professionals how it’s done and to cycle, scoot and walk the school run.
Sustrans Giro Schools Challenge takes place from 31 March to 11 April and is your chance to be part of the Giro d’Italia, Ireland’s biggest sporting event of 2014.
